Total Havoc 1 – Event Report
The Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre & the people of the south coast of NSW, had their first induction to Muay Thai on the 24th April, promoter & trainer Richard Neradil’s ‘TOTAL HAVOC 1’ nearly packed this brand new 1100 seat venue with a full card of 16 fights with lots of locals & 3 title fights.
Jarred Botha vs. Daniel Kerr
Jarred Botha (Heng Kuai Fighting Arts ) took on Daniel Kerr (Extreme Muay Thai & Kickboxing) for the ISKA south pacific title FTR & main event. The first round saw Jarred coming forward with strong jabs, using his reach to set up good leg kicks and dropped Daniel with a sweet right hook giving him an 8 count early, though Daniel showing his toughness came straight back at Jarred finishing this round strong.
In the second Daniel came out with good combos trying every thing to get inside Jared and getting through with a couple of strong round house kicks, though walking into a few strong right hands in the process, the pace quickened again with guys going over the ropes spectacularly in a strong grapple.
The 3rd round saw Jarred moving forward again and dropping Daniel with a big turning left hook, Daniel was keen to fight on but the ref called fight with him still on one knee.
Jacob Marks vs. Brett Crain-White
The experienced Jacob Marks (Heng Kuai Fighting Arts )defended his ISKA South Pacific title FTR against young gun Brett Crain- White from The Thai Boxing Pit in Perth. Was a strong start from Brett putting in some nice kicking combos straight up, Jacob was also landing some heavy body shots, both guys let some elbows fly in the grapple early with Jacob getting the better & cutting Brett deep on the forehead in the second round to send him to his corner , a tub of vaseline later the boys were at it again, Jacob took full control in the 3rd sweeping Brett twice to the canvas.
The boys exchanged heavy round house kicks, but Jacob was getting the better and took control pushing Brett into the corners just missing with some more big elbows, the 4th saw Bretts cut begin to weep heavily he was also starting to tire, Jacob swept him once more, then lined him up with a perfect spinning back fist which stopped the fight, the Doctor then called the fight as Bretts cut continued to open and was now bone deep.
Brett was out classed by Jacob in the end, though it was a great battle Brett lost, he stepped right up against a much more experienced fighter and held his own.
Serin Murray vs. Bianca Elmir
Serin Murray (Heng Kuai Fighting Arts) was next up to defend here Australian title against Bianca Elmir from Bulldog gym in Canberra, no Elbows. Serin took control of the centre of the ring from the start pushing Bianca from corner to corner and saw Serin open up with nice combos, though Bianca answered back with strong punches but struggled to get inside Serin who was working her push kicks well.
Bianca took it to Serin in the 2nd opening up with big punches & nice round house kicks, only to be slowed down again by some great grappling by Serin landing good knees to the body, the girls were punch for punch in the 3rd though Serin was scoring with good leg kicks and random knees & a nice front kick to Bianca’s chin, Serin Continued to dominate and was constantly stepping up the pace in the 4th and the 5th saw her stalking Bianca and catching her with solid punches winning the fight convincingly on points.
Congratulations to Rob Murdoch for training such class fighters and walking away with 3 great wins.
The undercard saw 13 fights, many novices testing their skills for the first or second time, the contest’s were very spirited with some good skills being displayed, local gym Southern Martial Arts had 11 fighters competing on the night and walked away with 6 victory’s. Congratulations to all other gyms and thank you for your support to make ‘TOTAL HAVOC 1’ such a huge success.
TOTAL HAVOC 2 in set to explode on the 14th August.
